Newly sworn-in Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited the graves of his father, former president Ziaur Rahman, and his mother, former prime minister Khaleda Zia, to offer prayers at Zia Udyan in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka today (17 February).
Accompanying Tarique were his wife Zubaida Rahman, their daughter Barrister Zaima Rahman, and Sharmila Rahman, wife of his younger brother Arafat Rahman Koko, according to BNP media cell.
Tarique was sworn in as the 11th prime minister of Bangladesh this afternoon at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, with President Mohammed Shahabuddin administering the oath.
The state ministers and other cabinet members then took their oaths.
