Surprised by the cabinet, but satisfied: KAS Murshid
Although I was somewhat surprised to see the new cabinet, overall, I am satisfied.
It seemed to me that, in most cases, the right individuals have been given responsibility. As a result, this could prove to be an effective and productive cabinet.
We have already received a clear and positive signal from its formation, which should help stabilise the economy. However, their ultimate success will depend on how their work progresses.
There are certainly challenges – both old and new – and these will need to be addressed step by step.
At present, economic recovery is the most pressing issue. Controlling inflation, reducing unemployment, making the market more capable and dynamic, and strengthening and revitalising the administration should be the top priorities.
A section of the administration had lost morale, and it is now essential to reinvigorate it.
Overall, the primary objective in the first phase should be to regain public confidence and create a strong sense of trust in the market. If a strong environment of confidence can be established, the economy will move towards long-term stability and sustained positive growth.
