Maizbhandar Darbar Shareef Incumbent Leader Shahzada Sayeed Saifuddin Ahmed Al Hasani Maizbhandari said Sufism fights against all kinds of atrocities, terrorism and violence.

"It also works for the welfare of people irrespective of religion," he said during a view exchanging meeting with the journalist leaders of Chattogram Press Club (CPC) on Saturday. 

Over the centuries Maizbhandar Darbar Shareef has been keeping remarkable sign in preaching, expanding and strengthening Sufism worldwide, said a press release here on Sunday.

"Journalists have been playing an extraordinary role in establishing good governance, building a corruption-free, peaceful society to expedite national development," said Hasani who is also the president of "Parliament of World Sufis". 

He urged the journalists to continue their stalwart efforts against injustice, to uphold the rights of people. 

The meeting was presided over by Alhaz Ali Abbas, president of CPC. 

He said that Bangabandhu visited Maizbhandar Darbar Shareef several times and he believed in Sufism. 
Chowdhury Farid, general secretary of Chattogram Press Club delivered welcome speech and Nazrul Islam, joint secretary of CPC was the presenter at the meeting. 

Senior vice president of CPC, Slahuddin Md. Reza, vice president S.M Ibrahim and former president of Anjuman-e-Rahmania Mainia Maizbhandaria, Alhaj Mohammed Iqbal Risalpuri also spoke in the meeting.
