RSGT Chattogram partners with C&F Associations to raise capacity and service standards
RSGT plans to double its handling capacity by the end of 2025

Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) Chattogram held a coordination meeting with the C&F Owners and Employees Associations on Wednesday, aiming to strengthen operational efficiency, worker safety, and service quality.
RSGT plans to double its handling capacity by the end of 2025 and fully expand by March 2026 with additional space and advanced equipment, supporting Bangladesh's growing logistics demands.
Syed Aref Sarwar, Head of Commercial and Public Affairs at RSGT, said, "At RSGT, we foster strong partnerships that benefit the entire logistics ecosystem.
These measures reflect our commitment to safety, efficiency, and capacity building, contributing to national economic growth."
Md. Shawkat Ali, General Secretary of the Chattogram C&F Agents Association, added, "Both parties need each other to work together to elevate operational efficiency and achieve better outcomes for the industry."
RSGT Chattogram, the first foreign-operated facility at the port, began commercial operations on 10 June 2024 under a 22-year agreement with the Chattogram Port Authority.
The Patenga Container Terminal features three container jetties, capable of handling 500,000 TEUs annually.
The meeting, chaired by Syed Aref Sarwar and Syed Tarique, included C&F leaders Md Shawkat Ali and Kazi Md. Khairul Bashar Milton, along with senior RSGT officials, focuses on cooperation, structured processes, and long-term service enhancements.
