Red Crescent Society hosts first-aid workshop for transgenders
Bangladesh Red Crescent Society organised the very first first-aid workshop for transgenders, in association with 'Badhan Hijra Sangha' on Friday.
Bangladesh Red Crescent Society hopes to break the shackle of prejudice and stigma against transgender individuals, by organising this event, said a press release.
The training session was aimed to train the transgender community so that they can save themselves and others in life or death circumstances.
The workshop spanned from 2 pm to 5 pm. Around 30 people joined the session and learned the basics of first aid.
