Rain likely in parts of Bangladesh over next 24 hours: Met office
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (17 April) forecast that rain may occur in different parts of the country over the next 24 hours, commencing from 9am.
"Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning flashes are likely to occur at one or two places over the Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, with hail at isolated places. Elsewhere, the weather may remain mainly dry with a temporarily partly cloudy sky," a Met office bulletin said.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country.
The highest temperature yesterday (16 April) was recorded at 36.5°C in Kumarkhali under Khulna Division, while today's minimum temperature was 20.6°C in Dimla under Rangpur Division.
The sun sets at 6:21pm today and rises at 5:35am tomorrow (18 April) in Dhaka.
