Rain likely in parts of country in 24 hour
It also added that the highest temperature yesterday was recorded at 33.5 degrees Celsius in Ishurdi under the Rajshahi division, while today's minimum temperature was 19 degrees Celsius in Tetulia and Sylhet.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (2 May) forecasted rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9am.
A Met office bulletin issued this morning said, "Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at many places over Mymensingh, Dhaka, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi & Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over Mymensingh, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions."
The BMD bulletin also said day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

In the last 24 hours, the highest 134 millimetres of rainfall occurred in Srimangal under the Sylhet division.
