Barrister Zaima Rahman, daughter of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, has hosted a unique "chayer adda" session today (2 February) in Dhaka to hear the thoughts, aspirations and dreams of young people.
Around 55 youths participated in the informal gathering at the Banani DOHS playground.
She spoke with the attendees about their ideas for the country's future while sharing her own perspectives and experiences.
Discussions covered women's empowerment, workplace safety for women, entrepreneurship development, investment-friendly policies, traffic congestion in Dhaka and other major cities, and future employment opportunities and challenges.
The session departed from conventional meetings or speeches, following a fair-style format.
In the first segment, Zaima sat and conversed with participants, while in the concluding segment she engaged in walking discussions, without a formal stage or seating.
Participants also enjoyed tea, snacks, jilapi and jhalmuri with her, adding to the lively and interactive atmosphere.
