Delhi-backed conspiracies afoot to orchestrate another '1/11' crisis after AL ban: Nahid
He, however, did not provide further details to back his claims

A fresh conspiracy is underway to stage a political scenario similar to the '1/11' crisis, National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam said today (23 May).
"Since the banning of the Awami League, new conspiracies are being drawn up from Delhi to create instability and further divide the nation. There is a deliberate move to hinder democratic transformation and orchestrate a scenario similar to the 1/11 crisis," Nahid said in a post on his verified Facebook page.
He, however, did not provide further details to back his claims.
The NCP chief also said Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus must uphold the promises made to the people regarding political reform, justice, and voting rights.
"He must resolve all political crises from his position of responsibility," he added.
Calling for national unity, he said, "Patriotic, Bangladesh-centric, and religious student and citizen groups must unite in support of sovereignty, reform, and the July Uprising. Patriotic army officers and soldiers must be ready to defend the nation's sovereignty and protect Bangladesh."
He further said the July Declaration must be released within the scheduled time, and the upcoming election must be held within the declared timeframe.
"Before the election, a charter of fundamental reforms should be drafted. Justice for the July massacre must be visibly underway, with a detailed roadmap for legal proceedings made public," he added.
He also emphasised that elections for both a new Constituent Assembly and the national legislature must be held simultaneously to pave the way for a new constitution.
Meanwhile, at a general meeting of the youth wing of the NCP, Jatiya Jubashakti, held at a hotel in Dhaka today, Nahid called on the youth to come forward to implement the demands of the July Declaration.
"No matter how powerful the obstacles are to implementing the July Declaration, we will confront them."
Nahid further said, "At a time when everyone is calling for reform of the state, some young leaders are becoming desperate for power. In this situation, one of our main goals will be to unite the patriotic youth."
