Students Against Discrimination to resume activities, suspension of all committees withdrawn
The platform is deeply concerned that the aspirations and objectives of the July Uprising have not yet been fully realised
The Students Against Discrimination (SAD) has withdrawn the suspension of all its committees to resume organisational activities and aims to reform committees within the next 15 days across the country.
The platform announced the decision in a press release issued today (2 November).
"To ensure the revolutionary transformation of the July Uprising and to achieve the historic one-point demand — the abolition of the fascist system and the establishment of a new political framework — the central committee of the platform has decided to withdraw the suspension of all unit committees at the university, college, metropolitan, district, upazila, union, and ward levels,'' reads the press release.
It also stated that the platform is deeply concerned that the aspirations and objectives of the July Uprising have not yet been fully realised.
"The government that emerged from the uprising has failed to ensure proper medical care, rehabilitation, and security for the families of martyrs and the injured. Incidents of attacks on these families have already occurred in different areas, which is extremely alarming."
"Furthermore, no clear roadmap has yet been announced for the judicial process of the July killings, reflecting the grave failure of the interim government, which stands on the blood of thousands of martyrs and the injured," adds the release.
