Nur leaves for Singapore for advanced medical treatment
He departed on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at 8:25am and is being accompanied by his personal physician

Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur left Dhaka for Singapore this morning (22 September) for advanced medical treatment.
He departed on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at 8:25am and is being accompanied by his personal physician, Dr Sajjad Hossain Rasel, an associate professor of Orthopaedics and Spine Surgery at Bangladesh Medical University, according to a press release.
Nur is scheduled to receive treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.
According to a party statement issued yesterday (21 September), Nur had been under treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) and later at a private hospital in the capital.
The release said doctors recommended sending him abroad for further care, a decision supported by his family and party members despite his initial reluctance.

Nur was injured on 29 August when a clash broke out in the Kakrail area of Dhaka between activists of his party and the Jatiyo Party.
Police and army personnel intervened to bring the situation under control, during which he sustained injuries.
The following day, DMCH Director Brig Gen Md Asaduzzaman confirmed that Nur had suffered injuries to his head and nose.
