New party ‘Janatar Dal’ launches with ‘Insaaf Zindabad’ slogan

A new political party named 'Janatar Dal' was officially launched today (20 March) with the slogan "Insaaf Zindabad".
The event took place at the Krishibid Institution in Dhaka, marking the debut of the party, which is composed of former military officers, former political leaders, former bureaucrats, and NGO workers, as stated by the organisers.
Janatar Dal Chairman Brigadier General (retd) Shamim Kamal said that the party is open to all citizens of Bangladesh, and its political ideology is focused on Palestine.
"We want to leave behind the controversial politics of the past 53 years and engage in transparent politics. We are searching for honest and capable candidates through regional committees in various areas for the upcoming elections," Shamim Kamal said.
The chairman also highlighted the significance of the event, saying, "Such an opportunity, as we have today, has never existed in Bangladesh before. In the past, after an event like this, intelligence agencies would have taken people away. I don't know if that will happen today, but we hope we will all return home safely."
Shamim Kamal further outlined the party's goal, saying, "We aim to field candidates in all 300 constituencies and come to power in the upcoming parliament."
Regarding national issues, he said, "We have not yet worked on constituency-based matters. In each district, we will have people who are highly respected by everyone. They will select the candidates."
The spokesperson for the party is former military officer and writer Del H Khan.
