NCP serves show-cause notice on Sarwar Tushar over moral misconduct
Tushar has also been instructed to refrain from all NCP organisational activities until the matter is resolved

The National Citizen Party (NCP) has issued a show-cause notice to its joint convener Sarwar Tushar regarding allegations of moral misconduct circulating on social media.
He has been directed to provide a written explanation concerning these allegations within the next five days.
Additionally, Tushar has been instructed to refrain from all NCP organisational activities until the matter is resolved.
The notice was disclosed through a press release issued today (17 June) by NCP Joint Member Secretary (Office) Saleh Uddin Sifat, on behalf of the party.
The notice states, "An allegation of moral misconduct has been brought against you [Tushar]. Party Convener Md Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Md Akhtar Hossain have sought your clear position and explanation on the issue."
The NCP has also asked Tushar to provide a written response explaining why organisational action should not be taken against him.
The explanation must be submitted to the party's political council and the investigation committee within five days, said the notice.
The development follows the viral circulation of an audio clip yesterday, reportedly featuring a conversation between Sarwar Tushar and a senior female party leader. The clip has sparked widespread debate online, with some alleging that Tushar harassed the woman.
