NCP to pay tribute to Liberation War martyrs at National Memorial tomorrow
The occasion will mark the party’s first formal activity since its formation on 28 February

The National Citizen Party (NCP) will pay tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War at the National Memorial in Savar, Dhaka, tomorrow morning (4 March).
The occasion will mark the party's first formal activity since its formation on 28 February.
Members of the party will also visit Rayerbazar to visit the graves of the students and people who were martyred during the uprising, the party said in a press statement today (3 March).
Both NCP Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, along with other central leaders, will be present on the occasion.
The NCP, led by Nahid and other leaders of the Students Against Discrimination (SAD) that spearheaded the July-August uprising, was officially formed on 28 February at the Manik Mia Avenue.
After this, a full-fledged convening committee of 216 members was announced late on Saturday night.
This committee includes people of different ideologies, including former student leaders of the left and right.
In addition to people from religious minorities and small ethnic groups, representatives of the Dalit-Harijan community have also been included in the committee of this new party.
