May Allah keep Khaleda Zia alive until Hasina's execution: Hasnat Abdullah
Khaleda Zia has long suffered from heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, liver cirrhosis, kidney complications and other ailments.
National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Organiser (South) Hasnat Abdullah said today (29 November) that he prays that Allah keep BNP chief Khaleda Zia alive until she witnesses ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina's execution.
Speaking to reporters after visiting Khaleda Zia at Evercare Hospital around noon along with other NCP leaders to check on her health, Hasnat said Khaleda Zia has endured severe oppression, which has contributed to her current condition.
He added that he wishes for her to see the path of democratic transition.
Hasnat said former prime minister Khaleda Zia did not receive proper medical care during Sheikh Hasina's government.
Whenever a doctor tried to come forward to treat her, they were harassed and intimidated, he alleged.
The NCP visiting team included Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary and Senior Joint Member Secretary Dr Tasnim Jara. Both leaders expressed their wishes for Khaleda Zia's recovery.
Earlier, at around 10am, the three leaders arrived at Evercare Hospital to see the ailing BNP chief.
Khaleda Zia has long suffered from heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, liver cirrhosis, kidney complications, and other ailments.
She was rushed to the hospital last Sunday after experiencing breathing difficulties.
