US to livestream Fort Hood shooter’s execution: Is that legal?
In 2009, former Army officer Nidal Malik Hasan killed 13 people and wounded 32 in a shooting at the Fort Hood military base in the United States. A military court sentenced him to death in 2013. Now, controversy has arisen over plans to carry out his execution by firing squad and broadcast it live. Human rights activists and legal experts are questioning whether such a broadcast conflicts with the law and human rights.
