State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam said the "trophy" of the 2024 July Uprising was taken to London and presented to BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman by former interim government chief adviser Muhammad Yunus.
"During the 2024 July Uprising, all of us stood with the students and the public. But the captain, the one who negotiated with the interim government in London and secured the election date, was Prime Minister Tarique Rahman," he said in parliament today (7 April).
"This demonstrates clearly which party and which leader played the leading role in the movement," he added.
The MP also highlighted the government's ongoing development initiatives, including the Family Card programme and the Farmer Card programme.
