Judges who are collaborators of fascism must resign voluntarily: BNP Legal Affairs Secretary Kayser
BNP's Legal Affairs Secretary Barrister Kayser Kamal has called for the voluntary resignation of judges who allegedly supported the prolongation of fascism under the ousted Awami League government.
Speaking at a protest rally organised by the Nationalist Lawyers' Forum in the Supreme Court premises today (21 April), he said, "Several judges appointed during the former regime have delivered verdicts that helped extend Sheikh Hasina's fascism.
"They unjustly and unlawfully disqualified many competent BNP leaders, including Khaleda Zia, from contesting in elections."
Addressing the rally, BNP Vice Chairman Zainul Abedin said, "We thought these accomplices of the dictatorship would flee just like others did after 5 August. Unfortunately, they haven't.
"There is still time. Resign now. Otherwise, the day the lawyers take action, you will not be able to continue your existence."
