Jagpa chief Khandaker Lutfur Rahman injured, hospitalised after attack in Dhaka
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir strongly condemned the attack, saying this type of attack is nothing but a deep conspiracy

Jatiya Ganatantrik Party (Jagpa) President Khandaker Lutfur Rahman sustained injuries and was hospitalised after being attacked with sharp weapons following a meeting with political parties at the Gono Odhikar Parishad's office in Dhaka's Paltan yesterday evening (1 September).
The incident occurred at around 7:40pm when he was leaving the Gono Odhikar Parishad office after the meeting and was crossing the road, said Jagpa General Secretary Jakir Hossain Riaz.
Lutfur was immediately taken to Islami Bank Central Hospital in Kakrail, where he was admitted for treatment.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir strongly condemned the attack in a statement, saying this type of attack is nothing but a deep conspiracy.
It could be an attempt to foil the upcoming election, he said, adding that the government must ensure that the law enforcement agencies arrest the attackers immediately and bring them to justice.
