I am not afraid of death: Fazlur Rahman
He has claimed that a mob is being incited in front of his house over a distorted version of his remarks

Addressing reports that some people are calling for his death, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's Adviser Advocate Fazlur Rahman today (25 August) said that he is not afraid of dying.
"I have the right to live without obstacles. It is my constitutional and fundamental right. But this right is being challenged. Some Yutubers from abroad ordered to kill me. I am not afraid of death but I don't deserve an unnatural one," he told reporters at the Supreme Court's Annex Building today (25 August).
He claimed that a mob is being incited in front of his house over a distorted version of his remarks.
"I never said that a 'dark force' was responsible for 5 August. Listen to my full speech. Show me where I said this. Don't just quote two lines from YouTube. I didn't make any such statement. If the full statement proves I did, I will apologise," he said.
Fazlur Rahman added that he would also submit a reply of the show-cause notice to the party and urged law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of his family.
He further said, "From the very day Jamaat opposed the Liberation War, I have spoken against them. I will not compromise on the Liberation War. I am clearly on the side of the Liberation War, while Jamaat is against it."
BNP show-causes Khaleda's Adviser Fazlur over controversial remarks on July Uprising
The BNP yesterday served him a show-cause notice over his "controversial and misleading" remarks regarding the July–August uprising, asking for a reply within 24 hours.
Meanwhile, protests erupted outside Fazlur Rahman's residence in Segunbagicha, with demonstrators under the banner of Biplobi Chhatra Janata demanding his arrest.
Members of other groups, including the Bangladesh Gonotantrik Chhatra Sangsad and July Rajbandi, also joined the sit-in at Concord Tower from midnight Sunday.
A contingent of police and army personnel has been deployed outside Fazlur Rahman's residence since this morning.
ASK expresses concern over mob 'intimidation' in front of Fazlur Rahman's residence
Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) has expressed serious concern over what it described as the deliberate creation of a mob in front of BNP Chairperson's Adviser Fazlur Rahman's residence, which has caused an environment of fear.
"Such mob intimidation not only terrorises an individual but also threatens society at large. These unlawful actions interfere with citizens' constitutional rights to freedom of expression, thought, conscience, personal security, and dignity," ASK said in a statement.
It stated that the Constitution of Bangladesh guarantees the right to life and personal security (Articles 31 and 32) and freedom of thought, conscience, and expression (Article 39).
"The formation of a mob outside Fazlur Rahman's residence constitutes a serious violation of these fundamental rights. This act is not only an insult to a veteran freedom fighter but also a deliberate attempt to instill fear across society and suppress dissent," reads the statement.
