Hasnat earns Tk12.5 lakh annually, owns assets worth Tk50 lakh: Affidavit
The affidavit, published on the Election Commission’s website, states that he owns assets worth a total of Tk50 lakh, including both movable and immovable property
National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Organiser (Southern Region) Hasnat Abdullah earns Tk12.5 lakh a year from a business registered in Dhaka called Elysium Academy, according to the affidavit he submitted to contest the upcoming national election in the Cumilla-4 seat.
The affidavit, published on the Election Commission's website, states that he owns assets worth a total of Tk50 lakh, including both movable and immovable property, where he holds Tk13.5 lakh in cash and Tk3.03 lakh in bank deposits.
In addition, he owns gold or other precious metal jewellery worth Tk26 lakh, furniture valued at Tk1 lakh, and electronic items worth Tk65,000, the affidavit adds.
The affidavit further notes that he does not own any immovable assets, including agricultural or non-agricultural land, houses, or other properties.
Cumilla-4 (Debidwar) is a parliamentary constituency comprising one municipality and 15 union areas. A total of 4,10,559 voters are registered in the constituency. Of them, 2,15,237 are male voters, and 1,95,319 are female voters.
The 13th national parliamentary election is scheduled for 12 February, where voting in the constituency will take place at a total of 116 polling centres, using 725 polling booths.
