Cucsu polls: 9 candidates withdraw nomination
The commission rescheduled the Cucsu elections for 15 October instead of 12 October

A total of nine candidates have withdrawn their nomination papers from the Chittagong University Central Students' Union (Cucsu) central and hall union elections.
Of them, four were contesting for central posts and five for hall unions, said Cucsu Election Commissioner and Member-Secretary Professor AKM Ariful Haque Siddique today (23 September).
All of them attributed their withdrawal to personal reasons.
Although today was the last day for withdrawal of candidacy, the election commission has extended the deadline until tomorrow (24 September).
Earlier in the day, the commission rescheduled the Cucsu elections for 15 October instead of 12 October.
Additionally, all scheduled examinations at the university from 12 to 18 October will remain suspended, while classes will continue as usual.
Classes will remain closed on 16 October, the day after the elections.
