Cox's Bazar trip: NCP withdraws show-cause notices against 5 leaders
In a press statement today (16 August), the party said that after analysing the replies to the show-cause notices, it was found that the incident did not constitute any violation of party discipline.

The National Citizen Party (NCP) has withdrawn the show-cause notices issued earlier this month against five of its senior leaders for their trips to Cox's Bazar, avoiding the July mass uprising anniversary programmes in the capital.
In a press statement today (16 August), the party said that after analysing the replies to the show-cause notices, it was found that the incident did not constitute any violation of party discipline.
"Therefore, as per the directives of Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, the mentioned notices have been withdrawn, and the matter has been settled," the statement added.
On 6 August, the NCP served show-cause notices to five top leaders for skipping the July mass uprising anniversary programmes in the capital and instead travelling to Cox's Bazar.
They were instructed to submit a written explanation within 24 hours to the party's convener and member secretary.
The leaders who received the notices were Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari, Chief Organiser (North) Sarjis Alam, Chief Organiser (South) Hasnat Abdullah, Senior Joint Member Secretary Tasnim Jara, and her husband Khaled Saifullah, a joint convener of the party.
Following the directive, the accused leaders submitted written explanations through the party office.
