BNP to sue ex-CECs over irregularities in last three national elections
BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed, accompanied by three other party members, will file the case tomorrow with the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station

The BNP is set to file a case against former chief election commissioners and other commissioners who were responsible for overseeing the 10th, 11th, and 12th national elections.
"BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed, accompanied by three other party members, will file the case tomorrow with the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station," BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan told The Business Standard today (21 June).
"Copies of the complaint will first be submitted to the Election Commission office at 10am before formally filing the case with the police station," he added.
BNP has long alleged that the three national elections were manipulated and lacked credibility, blaming the Election Commission at the time for facilitating vote rigging and undermining democratic processes.
On 16 June, Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus instructed officials concerned to immediately form a committee to investigate the roles played by former chief election commissioners, election commissioners, and secretaries of the Election Commission in organising the last three national elections.
