BNP-led government will fall by December: Oli Ahmad
He also recalled his 2022 remarks warning then-prime minister Sheikh Hasina about the consequences of delaying her departure from power.
Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Chairman Col (retd) Oli Ahmad today (5 September) claimed that the BNP-led government will fall by December, urging the 11-party alliance to maintain discipline to come to power.
"It is now widely being said, this government will fall by December," he said while speaking as a special guest at a rally at Paduar Bazar in Cumilla during the Dhaka-Chattogram long march organised by the 11-party alliance.
"You [the 11-party alliance] were about to come to power, but some 'haram women' like Rizwana did not allow you to come to power. Because they do not believe in Islam, they do not pray, and they do not believe in Allah's Messenger. That is why they did not allow Muslims to come to power." he further said.

He said the alliance would eventually come to power "InshaAllah".
He appeared to be referring to former interim government environment adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan.
Oli Ahmed also recalled remarks he made about former prime minister Sheikh Hasina in 2022, when he had warned that she would face greater consequences if she delayed leaving office.
"Do you remember that in 2022 I said Hasina could leave with her clothes if she left then, but if she left later, she would have to leave in the clothes on her back?" he said.
"There will be no exception to this for those currently in government either. Maintain discipline. If discipline is maintained, the 11-party alliance will come to power," he added.
