Awami League nominated candidate Shaheen Chaklader has been elected in the by-polls in Jashore-6 (Keshobpur) constituency.
He won the election getting 1,24,003 votes, whereas total 1,29,067 people voted in the election. The voting started at 9am on Tuesday morning and ended at 5pm.
In the election, the BNP nominated candidate got 2,012 votes and the Jatiya Party candidate secured 1,006 votes.

Voting for the by-election of Jessore-6 (Keshabpur) constituency was held in compliance with health guidelines due to the coronavirus situation prevailing in the country.
