AB Party to announce preliminary nominations for 100 seats on 16 Oct

Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party) will announce the preliminary list of candidates for 100 seats in the upcoming national parliamentary election on 16 October.
A press conference will reveal the list, and a meeting with the nominated candidates will be held the same day at the Far East Tower auditorium on Topkhana Road, said a press release issued by the party today (12 October).
According to the press release, a candidate selection committee, led by two vice-chairmen and a joint general secretary, has submitted a preliminary report after completing its work.
After evaluating the report at a recent executive council meeting, the party finalised preliminary nominations for 100 seats in the first phase.
About a month ago, the party held a discussion meeting with interested candidates and decided to field candidates in the maximum number of seats.
The press release said names for the second phase will be announced in the first week of November after verification and selection.
AB Party Chairman Mojibur Rahman Monju and General Secretary Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad called for full cooperation to prepare for the election, finalise the candidate list, and ensure the success of the 16 October meeting.
