Police foil Hizb ut-Tahrir procession in Dhaka, detain 7
The process of filing a case over the incident is underway

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today (21 March) detained seven individuals for organising a procession under the banner of the banned militant outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir in the capital's Dhanmondi.
The procession began after the Jummah prayer from Baitul Aman Jame Masjid in the Dhanmondi-7 area, according to Shah Mostafa Tarikuzzaman, assistant commissioner of Dhanmondi Zone.
"Police intervened, used batons to disperse the crowd, and detained seven individuals from the scene," he said.
He added that legal proceedings are underway to file a case regarding the incident.
