PM extends financial support to Rajshahi University student for higher studies in Sweden

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today (13 August) extended financial assistance to Rajshahi University student Md Nazmul Hasan to help him pursue higher studies in Sweden.
Nazmul met the prime minister who provided him with a grant to support his overseas study plans, said a release issued by the Prime Minister's Press Wing.
Nazmul, a master's thesis student of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Rajshahi University, has secured a full scholarship from the University of Skövde in Sweden for higher studies.

However, the costs of travelling to Sweden and initial accommodation and other expenses posed a financial challenge for his family, according to a statement.
The prime minister's assistance will help Nazmul overcome the initial financial difficulties and pursue his academic goals, it said.
Nazmul is from a poor family in Khamarkandi village of Sherpur upazila in Bogura.
