Over 37,000 opinions submitted to Jamaat's 'Janatar Ishtehar' platform
In addition to written submissions, a significant number of audio and video opinions have also been received
More than 37,000 opinions have so far been submitted to the Janatar Ishtehar platform, an initiative aimed at drafting an election manifesto based directly on public feedback, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman said today (26 January).
In a post on his verified Facebook page, the Jamaat chief said this was the first time in Bangladesh's political history that an initiative had been taken to prioritise public opinion in preparing an election manifesto.
He expressed deep gratitude and thanks to people across the country for their spontaneous and sincere participation in the process.
According to Shafiqur, the Janatar Ishtehar website and mobile application (www.janatarishtehar.org) were officially launched on 10 December 2025.
Since then, people from all walks of life have shared their views with a sense of responsibility, awareness and enthusiasm, which has greatly inspired the party, the Jamaat ameer added.
He said the opinions were submitted across multiple categories, including national sector-based issues, all 300 parliamentary constituencies, professional groups, and various regions, cities and districts.
In addition to written submissions, a significant number of audio and video opinions have also been received, he added.
The Jamaat chief said this level of public participation proves that the party's upcoming election manifesto will truly be a "People's Manifesto," which he described as representing the voices, thoughts and dreams of the people.
