One killed, 8 injured in bus-truck collision on Dhaka-Ctg highway in Sitakunda

A woman was killed and eight others were injured when a passenger bus rammed into the back of a stationary truck on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Sitakunda today (14 July).
The incident occurred around 11:00am in the Dhaka-bound lane near the DAB petrol pump in Kumira area.
The deceased, Ratna Chowdhury, 40, was the wife of Basanta Chowdhury from the Boro Darogahat area of Sitakunda.
She was critically injured in the crash and later died at Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) around 1:45pm, said CMCH police outpost Sub-Inspector Nur-e-Alam.
