One killed, 15 injured in clash over land dispute in Brahmanbaria
The clash lasted about an hour and involved locally made weapons.
A 22-year-old man was killed and at least 15 others injured when two groups clashed over a land dispute in Brahmanbaria's Nasirnagar Upazila today (4 September).
The incident took place in Burishwar village around noon, after Jumma prayers.
The deceased was identified as Nazim Ullah, son of Abdul Auwal of the village.

According to police and local sources, Abdul Auwal had been involved in a longstanding land dispute with fellow villager Fazlul Haque. Over the dispute, people from both sides clashed with locally made weapons.
The clash lasted about an hour, during which Nazim was attacked by the opposing side and killed. At least 15 people from both sides were also injured and are receiving treatment at Nasirnagar Upazila Health Complex.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Md Obaidur Rahman said the clash erupted over the land dispute.
Police rushed to the scene after receiving the news and brought the situation under control, he said, adding that legal action is being taken.
