Southeast Bank's sponsor director passes away
Mr Akikur Rahman, Honourable Sponsor Director and a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Southeast Bank PLC, breathed his last on 20 March 2025 (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un).
Md Akikur Rahman was born on 15 February 1945 in a respected Muslim family in Sunarpara, Nabarun, Sylhet. Since its inception, he has been associated with Southeast Bank PLC as a Sponsor Director. He was also the Vice Chairman of the Bank from 2023 to 2024.
He was the Chairman of RAR Investment Limited in the United Kingdom, the Chairman of the Dorking Muslim Community Association in the United Kingdom, the Managing Director of RAR Holding Limited, and the Vice Chairman of the International Medical College and Hospital in Gazipur, Bangladesh.
