MCCI mourns the passing of Begum Khaleda Zia

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Begum Khaleda Zia, three-time elected Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party.

Her death marks the end of a significant chapter in the country's political history and leaves behind a legacy of leadership, resilience, and profound national impact.

As one of the most prominent political figures of independent Bangladesh, Begum Khaleda Zia played a decisive role in shaping the nation's democratic trajectory. At a critical juncture following the restoration of parliamentary democracy, she assumed leadership with courage and conviction, guiding the country through challenging political and economic transitions.
