Former BWDB director Mohammad Moatter passes away
Former Director of the Department of Public Relations, Bangladesh Water Development Board (Bangladesh Water Development Board), Mohammad Moatter, passed away at his residence on Green Road in the capital on the evening of 29 December, 2025. He was 79.
He is survived by his wife, one son, two daughters and a large number of admirers.
Mohammad Moatter served for a long period as director of the Department of Public Relations, where he carried out his responsibilities with dedication, efficiency and integrity. During his tenure, he played a visionary and lasting role in presenting and promoting the development activities of the Bangladesh Water Development Board across various media platforms and in strengthening public engagement.
His professionalism, humane conduct and strong sense of responsibility remain fondly remembered by his colleagues and officials, who continue to regard his contributions as exemplary.
The Bangladesh Water Development Board family has expressed deep sorrow at his death and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, while praying for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
