BUFT hosts memorial programme for Abdullah Hil Rakib

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) hosted a Memorial Programme and Doa Mahfil on Sunday, 27 July 2025, at the BUFT Multipurpose Hall to honour Mr Abdullah Hil Rakib, a distinguished leader whose contributions to education, the RMG industry, and social welfare continue to have a lasting impact across various sectors.

The programme included a photo exhibition featuring 100 curated images of Mr Rakib's impactful journey, as well as a documentary highlighting his key milestones. Family, colleagues, and associates shared reflections, celebrating his dedication and leadership. A citation and memorial photo album were unveiled as lasting tributes. Attendees also expressed memories and messages in a dedicated comment book, giving a personal touch to the commemoration.

The event began with a minute of silence in remembrance of the tragic incident at Milestone School and College. It concluded with a Doa Mahfil, attended by BUFT's faculty, officials, and guests. BUFT's Public Relations Department organised the entire programme.
