Navy detains Cox's Bazar man with firearms
The Bangladesh Navy arrested a man and seized illegal firearms and weapons during a raid in Kutubdia upazila of Cox's Bazar on Thursday night, according to a press release.
Acting on secret information, the Navy conducted an operation at a house in the Akbar Bali Para area of North Dhurung union.
During the raid, a person named Dil Mohammad Raihan was detained.

Two locally made firearms (shotguns), three rounds of live ammunition, and three locally made sharp weapons were recovered from his house.
The detained individual and the seized items were later handed over to Kutubdia Police Station for legal proceedings.
The Bangladesh Navy continues its deployment in designated areas across the country to ensure national security, prevent criminal activities, and maintain law and order, further reads the press release.
