Mother, daughter found dead in Mohammadpur flat
Police are currently investigating the motive behind the double murder and searching for the missing domestic worker.
A mother and her teenage daughter were found dead inside their apartment in the capital's Mohammadpur area today (8 December).
Police recovered the hacked bodies from the seventh floor of a building in Shahjahan Road.
The victims were identified as Laila Afroze, 48, and her daughter Nafisa Lawal Binte Aziz, 15.

The house-help who worked at the residence has been missing since the incident. Police suspect that the domestic worker may be involved in the killings.
Assistant Commissioner of Mohammadpur Zone under DMP's Tejgaon Division Abdullah Al Mamun told TBS, "We rushed to the spot after receiving information. The domestic help is missing, and we suspect her involvement. The matter is under investigation."
The bodies have been sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
