Microbus catches fire in Kakrail

A microbus caught fire in the Kakrail area of the capital this evening (11 January), which was brought under control by the Fire Service.

According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence, three units from Siddiq Bazaar Fire Station reached the site near Kakrail Mosque at 7:06pm, shortly after the fire was reported.
The fire was controlled by 7:10pm and completely extinguished by 7:22pm, the Fire Service said.
Fire Service officials also said they were informed that the fire was caused by a mechanical fault in the microbus.
