Man shot dead in Dhaka's Jurain

A 30-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified individuals in Dhaka's Jurain area today (1 December).
The deceased, Pappu Sheikh, was a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver originally from Rajair upazila of Madaripur. He lived with his family in the Mistir Dokan area of Jurain.
According to Mohammad Ayub, officer-in-charge of Kadamtali Police Station, the incident occurred around 6:30pm in front of the Gas Pipe Concord School.
"Unknown attackers shot him and fled the scene. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead," the OC said.
Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH Police Camp, said Pappu was brought to the hospital with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead around 8pm.
His body has been kept at the morgue for autopsy.
