LGD secretary Rezaul Maksud removed from post

The government has removed Local Government Division (LGD) Secretary Rezaul Maksud Jahedi from his post and attached him to the Ministry of Public Administration.
The ministry confirmed the matter through a notification issued today (1 March).
Earlier, on 23 February, the government cancelled the remaining tenures of nine senior secretaries and secretaries who had been appointed on a contractual basis during the interim government period.

On the same day, three officials who had been promoted to secretary during the previous government were also removed from their posts and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.
No new secretaries have yet been appointed to those ministries.
