Russia-Bangladesh ties based on solid foundation of friendship: Lavrov to Hasan
The Russia-Bangladesh relations are based on the solid foundation of friendship laid during the period of struggle of the East Bengal people for independence, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday.
Lavrov, in a message, congratulated his Bangladeshi counterpart Hasan Mahmud on his appointment as the foreign minister following the re-election of the Awami League government for the fourth straight term, reports UNB.
He said the Kremlin looks forward to the continuation of productive interaction between the foreign offices of the two countries for the benefit of further strengthening bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic, and other practical areas.
