The launch service has been temporarily shut down on Paturia-Daulatdia route by the authorities due to inclement weather.
However, launch movement on the Aricha-Kazirhat route is normal.
Paturia Launch Ghat Supervisor Panna Lal Nandi said, "The Padma River remains turbulent due to strong winds since Wednesday morning."

"As a result, the launch service has been suspended from 10 am to avoid accidents on the route. The service will resume when the weather becomes normal."
Firoz Kabir, officer-in-charge of Shibalay police station in Manikganj, said, "Ferry services are normal on the Paturia-Daulatdia route. Thus, passengers arriving at the ghat are getting the opportunity to cross the river on ferries."
