Khandaker Mosharraf chairs inaugural session of 13th parliament
While Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain was the primary choice to lead the session, sources had previously indicated that BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was prepared to preside as an alternative had Mosharraf been unable to perform the duty.
The first session of the 13th Parliament commenced today (12 March) with BNP Standing Committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain presiding over the house.
His role as the chair for this inaugural sitting was finalised following high-level discussions within the party leadership.
