Khaleda Zia visits US Embassy to complete visa process
Party sources said the BNP chief will go to the UK first early next month

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia visited the US Embassy in Dhaka this afternoon to provide her fingerprint biometrics for completing her visa application process.
She headed for the US Embassy at around 2:00pm, BNP's media cell member Shamsuddin Didar told the media.
Her personal physician Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, BNP Organizing Secretary Shama Obaid, and her Private Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar will accompany her.
Party sources said the BNP chief will go to the UK first early next month.
Later, she may go to the US or Germany for advanced treatment. She has already applied for the US visa.
Khaleda, a former prime minister, has been grappling with a range of serious health issues, including liver cirrhosis, and heart, lung, kidney, and eye problems.
She has undergone multiple treatments at Evercare Hospital in the capital since her conditional release, under the supervision of a medical board led by Prof. Shahabuddin Talukder.
The BNP has made all necessary arrangements to send her abroad for specialised treatment at an advanced medical centre.
