Somoy TV journalist injured in Narail knife attack
Efforts are underway to identify and arrest those responsible for the attack, Sajedul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station says

Syed Sajibur Rahman Sajib, 30, a correspondent for Somoy TV, was injured in a knife attack by unidentified individuals late yesterday night (30 December) at Sheikh Russel Bridge in Narail.
Sajedul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, confirmed the incident and said that efforts are underway to identify and arrest those responsible for the attack.
According to local sources and the police, Sajib was riding a motorcycle from his village home in Lohagara upazila toward Narail when the attackers ambushed him on the bridge. Armed with sharp weapons, they inflicted severe injuries to his abdomen, legs, and arms before fleeing the scene.
Sajib was initially admitted to Narail District Hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Dhaka for advanced medical treatment.
