Dengue death toll reaches 39 as 1 more patient dies in 24hrs

One person died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll this year to 39, according to the latest dengue situation report.
Meanwhile, 450 new patients were admitted to hospitals during the same period.
The information was disclosed in a press release issued today (23 July) by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The deceased was reported from Rangpur Division.
During the same 24-hour period, 417 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the total number of recoveries this year to 10,911.
The total number of dengue cases reported in the country this year now stands at 12,020.
