The Jagannath University (JnU) authorities have rusticated a student for allegedly making derogatory comments about the Prophet Muhammad on Facebook.

The student has been identified as Tithi Sarker, a third-year Zoology Department student.

Registrar Md Ohiduzzaman issued a signed suspension order on Monday with an approval of the syndicate under the authority of the Vice-Chancellor.
