Holy Ramadan begins Wednesday
Muslims will observe their first fast on Wednesday after having Sehri on Tuesday night.

The holy month of Ramadan, when Muslims engage in self-purification through fasting and abstinence, begins in the country tomorrow as the new crescent moon was sighted in Bangladesh sky today.
Md Faridul Haque Khan, the state minister for religious affairs and the president of the National Moon Sighting Committee, made the announcement this evening after a meeting at the Islamic Foundation office at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
Muslims will observe their first fast on Wednesday after having Sehri on Tuesday night.
Tarabi prayers will be held at mosques across the country tonight.
Due to the Covid induced adverse situation, a maximum of 20 devotees including Imams, Muazzin and Khadim, are allowed to participate in Tarabi prayers at a time this year.
In a directive, the religious affairs ministry also urged the devotees to say their prayers maintaining hygiene rules and avoid unnecessary gatherings before and after prayers.
