The other one is announced by the followers of the former Hefazat  Ameer Ahmad Shafi on the basis of the Ahmad Shafi's principal.

Mainuddin Ruhi, joint secretary of the first Hefazat committee announced this new committee in Facebook.

"I welcome the decision of dissolving the committee after four and a half month realizing the reality which was deviated from the principals of the Hefazat and was just a so-called syndicate committee," he said.

"We will form Hefazat-e-Islam following the principal of Ahmad Safi which will work to preserve the Tahzib-Tamuddin of Islam," he added.

The members of the convening committee announced by Junayed Babunagari are – Muhibullah Babunagari, Junayed Babunagari and Nurul Islam. They have been the Chief Adviser, Ameer and Secretary General of the dissolved committee.

The other two members are Salah Uddin Nanupuri and Principal Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury.

"TheHefazat-e-Islam central and metropolitan committee have been dissolved considering the present unstable situation. Later following the suggestion of the advisor committee, the three-member convening committee has been announced," said Nasir Uddin Mamun.

"This committee will soon announce the full convening of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh," he added.

Hefazat-e-Islam Ameer Junayed Babunagari dissolved its central committee on Sunday night through a video in Facebook.

Hefazat-e-Islam was formed on 19 January in 2010 at Chattogram.  The director general of the then Hathazari Madrasa, Shah Ahmad Shafi formed it. He had been the Ameer of the organization till his death on 18 September in 2020.

After his death, on the same year, the central committee was formed making JunayedBabunagari as Ameer and Nur Hossain Kashemi as Secretery General.

A dozen leaders of the Islamist group have been arrested for their alleged involvement in countrywide violence that claimed at least 17 lives during protests over Indian Prime Minister NarendraModi's visit to Bangladesh last month.
